Abstract
Purpose: To investigate the coronary artery restenosis, the knowledge relateddisease and compliance after coronary artery intervention.

Method: The subjects were 151 CDA patients received follow-up coronary angiogram after coronary intervention. Data were collected by the interview with questionnaires and the review the medical records from June to August, 2003. Data were analyzed by mean, percent, t-test, ANOVA and Tukey or Sheffe test using SAS program.

Results: The score of knowledge related to disease in the CDA patients was 25.9 point of 33, and compliance score was 41.6 point of 55. 2. There were significant differences of the knowledge related-disease in sex (F = 2.28, p = .024) and education level (F = 4.17, p = .007). Female and higher educated patients showed significantly higher score than those of male and lower educated patients. There were significant differences of the compliance in age (F = 3.30, p = .013). The patients over 60 aged showed significantly higher score than those of 40, 50 and 70 aged. The patients who viewed vascular restenosis were 36.4% and patients who did not view it were 63.6%. There was no significant differences of the knowledge related-disease and the compliance between having the vascular restenosis or not. The knowledge related-disease was the highest on the risk factor domain (83.6%) and lowest on the medication (69.2%). The frequency of correct answer on the knowledge related-disease was highest in the confrontation method at the cardiac attack (99.3%) and lowest in the possibility of sexual activity after coronary intervention (36.4%).

Conclusion: There was no significant differences of the knowledge related-disease and the compliance according to the vascular restenosis.
